On Sunday 5th October 2008 I took part in “run 10K for Cancer Research UK”
at Newnham Park, Plymouth. It is 1 of 41 events held across the UK. I wanted to do the run to help raise some money for a cancer charity and in loving memory of my grandad, John Ireland and Kerry’s mum, Sandra Chanter.
The run took me 1 hour and 5 minutes. The rain stopped just before the start of the run which was nice. The course was a lot wetter and muddier than I expected. There was also a lot more hills than I expected. But I still enjoyed the run and I am looking forward to running again next year.
Thank you to everyone that sponsored me. I raised £245 for Cancer Research UK.
On Saturday 11th October I got married to Kerry. The weather was really nice. The whole day went very well thanks to a number of great friends and family!!
